The simulation gives you a fixed project baseline and then lets your weekly decisions influence actual progress and actual cost.
When the project ends
You have up to 12 weeks to deliver 360 goods. Reaching 360 accepted goods ends production early at exactly 100%. Before delivery, any excess goods are rejected by a quality inspection as faulty, damaged or below standard. Production costs are retained. Complete the closing week’s EVM report to view the final results. If the target has not been reached, the game still ends after Week 12.
Baseline plan
| Item | Weekly plan / rate | 12-week baseline |
|---|---|---|
| Planned tasks | 30 tasks | 360 tasks |
| Planned Value | US$4,500 | US$54,000 |
| Planned Resource 1 | US$1,000 | US$12,000 |
| Planned Resource 2 | US$1,000 | US$12,000 |
| Planned Resource 3 | US$1,000 | US$12,000 |
| Project Manager | US$1,500 | US$18,000 |
Why your results change
The baseline remains your reference point. During play, completed tasks determine progress and earned value, while the resources and overtime you use contribute to actual cost. The purpose is to see the trade-off between delivering work and controlling cost.
